    Direct answer: lotus root is nutritionally useful when its portion and preparation fit the complete diet. Use composition data to calculate nutrients, then verify the actual frozen or finished product. Do not translate a nutrient's normal physiological role into a promise that lotus root treats disease.

Potassium and Iron Require Careful Language

    The USDA raw entry reports 556 mg potassium per 100 g. NIH describes potassium as important to normal cellular function, including nerve transmission and muscle contraction. This does not make lotus root a treatment for hypertension, fluid disorders, weakness or heart disease.

    Some people with kidney disease or particular medications may need individualized potassium guidance. A high or low intake decision cannot be made from one ingredient name. The actual serving, preparation, complete diet, laboratory results and clinician's plan matter.

    The raw USDA entry reports 1.16 mg iron per 100 g. Iron is required for hemoglobin and other proteins, but plant foods provide nonheme iron whose absorption varies. NIH notes that vitamin C can enhance nonheme iron absorption. That relationship still does not prove that lotus root treats iron-deficiency anemia.

    Anemia has multiple causes and requires appropriate diagnosis and management. Delete "treats anemia" from product copy unless an authorized, product-specific claim framework and evidence genuinely permit it. Safer educational language describes measured iron per serving and its normal physiological role without promising a clinical result.

The Vitamin K and Bleeding Story Does Not Hold

    The inherited article calls lotus root rich in vitamin K and says it contracts blood vessels and stops bleeding. That is not a responsible conclusion. A food composition statement must begin with a verified nutrient amount and serving. It cannot jump directly to treatment of bleeding.

    Vitamin K has recognized roles in normal blood clotting and bone metabolism, but the nutrient's role is not proof that eating one food stops active bleeding. Anyone with unusual or serious bleeding needs appropriate care. People using vitamin K–sensitive anticoagulants should follow their clinician's consistency and medication advice rather than making abrupt food changes from a blog.

    If actual saleable output is 7,760 packs because of 3% line and filling loss, the lotus-root purchase input remains 360 kg. The formula's target per pack and the theoretical input allocation are still 45 g, but reconciliation must explain retained product, samples, rework and waste. Do not silently divide by saleable packs and change the recipe after production.
