Are too much bananas bad for you?

Oct 31, 2019

Eating too much banana is bad for you.

Bananas are rich in nutrients, but people with acute nephritis, chronic nephritis and kidney function cannot eat bananas. This is because bananas contain sodium, and nephritis patients must eat less or no sodium. If a patient with kidney disease often eats bananas, it is equivalent to ingesting excess sodium, resulting in a significant increase in sodium in the blood, leading to deterioration of the kidneys.

Eating too many bananas on an empty stomach will greatly increase the potassium content in the blood. An increase in potassium levels can inhibit the body's cardiovascular system, leading to severe muscle paralysis, numbness, fatigue and lethargy, which can pose a safety hazard to drivers driving.
