Brazil's soybean exports accelerated in the third week of April

Foreign media news on April 25: Brazilian soybean exports increased in the third week of this month, making soybean exports in the first three weeks of this month exceed the level of the same period last year, which may support domestic soybean prices in Brazil.

According to data from the Brazilian Foreign Trade Secretary (SECEX), as of April 19, Brazil exported 10.6 million tons of soybeans, compared with 9.16 million tons in the same period last year.

Brazil exported 5 million tons of soybeans in the third week of April, up from 3 million tons in the same period last year.

Nearly 90% of Brazil's soybean exports in April were shipped to China. Normally, more than 80% of Brazil's soybean exports from February to July are shipped to China. However, the delayed soybean harvest in Brazil and the slowdown in China's crushing pace have led to lower than expected Brazilian soybean exports to China in the first few months of this year.
