Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs: Continue to support Taiwan Farmer Pioneer Park to declare to establish a national modern agricultural industrial park

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs told Taiwan’s Deputy Director of the Office of Agricultural Affairs, Jiang Jianping, at a regular press conference of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council on the 17th that since 2017, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Finance have vigorously promoted the construction of modern agricultural industrial parks and have arranged a total of central financial awards With a fund of more than 9 billion yuan, it has supported the creation of 151 national modern agricultural industrial parks. Four Taiwanese farmer entrepreneurship parks in Cixi, Zhejiang, Qixia, Shandong, Xishan, Jiangsu, and Hexian, Anhui, were successfully selected for establishment. We will continue to support Taichuang Park in applying for the establishment of a national modern agricultural industrial park.

A reporter asked that Article 17 of the "Agriculture and Forestry 22 Measures" mentioned supporting qualified Taiwanese Farmer Pioneer Parks to apply for the establishment of a national modern agricultural industrial park in accordance with the regulations. Please tell us about the situation. Jiang Jianping made the above answer.

A reporter asked that Article 21 of the "Agriculture and Forestry 22 Measures" involved the flower industry. May I ask how to strengthen cross-strait flower industry exchanges and cooperation and promote common development?

In this regard, Hu Yuanhui, deputy director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Office of the National Forestry and Grass Administration, said that the flower industry is a beautiful business, an industry that adds brilliance to everyone's lives, and an important area of cross-strait cooperation. The flower market in the mainland has developed rapidly in recent years and has become an important flower consumer and import and export trade place. In 2019, China's total flower imports and exports reached 620 million U.S. dollars, of which imports were 262 million U.S. dollars and exports were 358 million U.S. dollars.

He said that cross-strait cooperation in the field of flowers has explored a good model. For example, Guangxi held a seminar on cooperation in the Guangxi-Taiwan flower industry, and a number of flower cooperation projects settled in the local area. Nanning Taiwan Flower Industrial Park and Liuzhou Qingmao Flower Base have become models of cooperation between Guangxi and Taiwan. According to statistics from the Guangxi Forestry Department, as of the end of 2019, Guangxi had an area of 66,700 hectares of flowers, achieving a flower output value of RMB 15.07 billion.

Hu Yuanhui said that Taiwanese and Taiwanese enterprises are welcome to invest in the flower industry in the mainland, and relevant parties in the mainland are encouraged to actively invite Taiwanese and Taiwanese enterprises to participate in the flower expo, flower arrangement contest and other activities held in the mainland. Taiwanese and Taiwanese enterprises are also welcome to actively participate in the national standard of flower products. Formulate and apply to promote the interconnection and interoperability of flower industry standards across the Straits.
